auto portrait

school project

2013

This portrait was created as a quick project for "Presentation techniques 3". Our task was to make an auto portrait and to represent us in the best way possible. It should clearly represent us as a person. We were allowed to use either scissors and paper, or digital tools.

I chose to use paper, because I wanted to make a 3D effect.
My idea was to represent my two contrast sides, one is creative and always looks around, and the other is focused with clear path in front of it. The focused one is stable and constant, the creative one changes all the time, sometimes there is more crativity and sometimes there is less.

I wanted to make a clear, simple contrast. I used only two colors - black an white, and two dimensions - 2D and 3D.

The final product reminds me of a moon with it's different sizes and shapes.
